REFLECTION:
This semester in the Architecture History and Theory module has been quite enriching, and I'd like to reflect on my experience:

Lectures: The lectures throughout the semester have been insightful, providing a clear and thorough explanation of the topics. The delivery has been effective in helping me understand various aspects of architectural history and theory. The explanations given during the lectures have significantly contributed to my overall comprehension.

Module Assessments: The assessments have played a crucial role in enhancing my understanding and appreciation of ancient buildings. They have provided a structured way to delve into the details of different architectural structures. This approach has not only widened my knowledge but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the historical significance of these buildings.

Projects:

First Project (Parliament Building Research): The group project on researching a parliament building was a valuable experience. It provided a better understanding of the structural aspects of buildings, emphasizing teamwork and collaboration. Although focused on modern architecture, it offered insights into contemporary building design and functionality.

Second Project (Drawing 5 Buildings): Drawing five different types of buildings, including Stonehenge, the Pyramids, the Pantheon, the Altes Museum, and Villa La Rotonda, was a hands-on and engaging activity. This project deepened our understanding of ancient architectural structures. Knowing how these structures were built serves as a foundational knowledge for future learning. It provides insights into the evolution of architectural styles, construction techniques, and design principles. This knowledge will undoubtedly be beneficial as we progress in our studies and encounter a broader range of architectural styles and periods.

Overall Reflection: This semester has laid a strong foundation for my architectural knowledge, thanks to well-structured lectures, meaningful assessments, and engaging projects. The combination of effective learning platforms and the guidance of dedicated tutors has made this learning experience valuable and enjoyable. The emphasis on ancient architectural structures has not only broadened my understanding of historical contexts but has also equipped me with essential insights that will undoubtedly shape my future learning and practice in architecture.
