PROJECT 1
STARCHITECT (10% INDIVIDUAL)

TASK:

Create a preliminary design and layout for a poster on an A4 sheet of paper.

The poster design must encompass specific elements to effectively convey its message. Start by prominently displaying the architect's name as the title, complemented by an apt subtitle. Additionally, incorporate a visual element by featuring a portrait or a representative image of the architect. To highlight their architectural prowess, showcase three pivotal buildings they've designed. Furthermore, accompany these visuals with a concise yet informative description that offers insights into the architect's life, intriguing anecdotes, or memorable quotes, spanning a length of 5 to 10 lines.

For Mr. Adib's tutorial, I have to pick between two architects, and I go with Frank Lloyd.

Online research is required to gather information about Frank Lloyd Wright. After that, a draft will be created on an A4 paper, outlining the initial ideas and composition. Following feedback, comments, and revisions, a final poster drawing will be produced on an A3-size paper.

This project has been an invaluable journey, providing hands-on experience in producing a compelling poster. From delving into research about Frank Lloyd Wright to experimenting with different compositions on an A4 paper, I've honed my skills in crafting visually appealing narratives. The process highlighted the significance of drawing placement and the careful selection of typography, revealing their pivotal roles in creating an outstanding poster. Understanding how to guide the viewer's eye and convey messages effectively through design principles has not only elevated my poster-making proficiency but also deepened my appreciation for the art of visual communication. This project serves as a testament to the transformative power of hands-on learning in the realm of design and poster creation.

Digital Literacy:

The project has showcased a form of digital literacy through understanding online resources. Researching about Frank Lloyd Wright online required effective digital navigation skills to access credible information, demonstrating the relevance of digital literacy even in traditional, hands-on projects.

Lifelong Learning:

The process of researching, drafting, and manually crafting the A3 poster underscores continuous learning and adaptation. Embracing the challenges of translating digital information into a traditional format not only showcases a commitment to ongoing learning but also reinforces the idea that learning is a dynamic, lifelong journey, encompassing both traditional and digital skills.
